Caffeine

Caffeine happens to be a drug which of course is a stimulant that almost 90% of the world uses. It’s the worlds most abused drug. Irrespective of it being a bitter substance found in tea, coffee, soft drinks, chocolate, nuts and certain medicines, it is regarded as a necessity by many people. The consumption of caffeine is rising up with every passing day.

Whenever one desires to make the body more active, to increase alertness especially when a person is doing a job that requires all the attention in the world, sometimes it will be very necessary to boost energy in the body with a stimulant. A good stimulant will give your body all physical wakefulness that it requires.

There has been a long history of the consumption of the caffeine in many parts of the world. It was initially consumed in form of seeds that were chewed.  There were also certain leaves or barks of certain plants. These would actually be used to stimulate awareness, ease fatigue, and elevate mood

Human beings consume the caffeine that is basically produced from the coffee plant cherries, tea bush leaves, and certain kind of drinks and foods that are derived from the kola nut.

Consumption of caffeine may not be so bad unless it is abused.  There is a likely danger of it leading to dehydration.

The consumption of caffeine has various effects in the blood of individuals depending on the amount of caffeine consumed and for how long. It results in increased awareness and alertness, faster and clearer flow of thought, increased body coordination, and latter at the spinal cord level at higher doses.

Although caffeine has the good side of it as well, it doesn’t lack its side effect. When consumed in large amounts, over extended periods of time, it leads to caffeinism- a condition of dependency with a wide range of unpleasant, physical and mental conditions including nervousness, irritability, anxiety, muscle twitching, insomnia and headaches. Again, caffeine is not recommended for pregnant women.
